Does OSILAN Cat6A support 10 Gigabit Ethernet?
According to the official datasheet for model U6A-H0423-WH, this Category 6A U/UTP cable uses 23 AWG solid copper conductors with an LSZH sheath, is channel-characterized to 500 MHz, and supports 10GBASE-T and PoE including IEEE 802.3bt Type 3/4. Specifications vary by part number, so the datasheet for the required model should be checked before approving the BOQ.
Is a System Warranty available?
The official datasheet for the referenced model states a 25-year system warranty. This does not mean every product or every project automatically receives the same warranty; actual warranty terms depend on the product, installed system, certification and commercial conditions for the project.
How do you choose between Cat6, Cat6A and Fiber?
- Cat6: Suitable for many standard LAN applications when capacity, distance and project requirements are compatible.
- Cat6A: Selected when 10GBASE-T requirements, higher performance or the project environment call for it.
- Fiber Optic: Suitable for backbone links, longer distances, inter-building connectivity or when the network requires optical capacity and links.
What should be reviewed before requesting a price?
Price does not depend on the category name alone. You need to define the Part Number, shielding type, jacket type, length, box or reel quantity, fiber type, core count, connectors, patch panels and racks. It is therefore better to send the BOQ or required specification rather than asking for a generic “Cat6 price.”
